Removable SIM Cards (2FF, 3FF, 4FF)

Mini-SIM (2FF): measures approximately 25 mm × 15 mm. This format remains popular for legacy devices, larger industrial systems, vehicles, routers and other hardware with a traditional SIM slot.

Micro-SIM (3FF): about 15 mm × 12 mm. A compact choice for many mid-size devices and IoT installations where a smaller footprint helps reduce space and power constraints.

Nano-SIM (4FF): roughly 12.3 mm × 8.8 mm. This is the slimmest physical SIM card format widely used today. Ideal for modern IoT hardware, sensors, compact gateways or mobile devices where minimal size matters.

Each of these formats delivers the same core SIM functionality (identity, security, network authentication) regardless of size. Choosing between them depends on what kind of hardware you deploy, whether you need a robust card for industrial use or a small form factor for slim devices.

Embedded SIM (eSIM / MFF2)

For advanced IoT installations where space, durability, or remote management are critical, we offer embedded SIM cards (eSIM / MFF2) instead of traditional removable SIMs. These are soldered directly onto the device circuit board, eliminating the need for a physical SIM slot.

Benefits include:

  • Reduced device complexity (no tray or slot required)
  • Increased reliability and resistance to vibration or tampering
  • Ability to remotely provision operator profiles and switch carriers without physical access

This makes embedded SIMs ideal for large-scale deployments, remote sensors, industrial automation, tracking units or any application where maintenance access is limited or impractical.

Built for IoT / M2M: Reliable, Durable, Long Life

All standard SIMS4Things removable SIMs are rated to operate under a wide temperature range (e.g. –25 °C to +85 °C) to suit most commercial and industrial IoT conditions, from vehicles and remote sensors to telemetry and logistics devices.

Our SIM cards are built for long life, low maintenance and dependable connectivity. They’re intended for data-centric applications and M2M communication rather than voice, making them ideal for IoT deployments worldwide.
