1. Upon activation, subscription fee and/or allowance will be pro‐rated for 1st month. Upon deactivation, subscription fee and allowance are not pro‐rated.
2. If inReach is suspended, a suspension fee of £4.00 per month will continue to be charged until service is resumed or deactivated.
3. Inclusive allowance is based on a bundle of bytes. Safety Plan: 1,500 bytes, Recreation Plan: 8,000 bytes, Expedition Plan 30,000 bytes. Each message sent from the device consumes a certain number of bytes. See pricing details in the calling rates below.
4. Overage charges apply when inclusive allowance of bytes have been used during the month. Unused bytes do not rollover.
5. Text message charge assumes 120 character message. Messages with a different number of characters will incur a different charge.
6. Basic Weather: temperature, precipitation, wind speed and direction, and atmospheric pressure details for 3 days.

Does my inclusive data roll-over?
No. Inclusive data does not roll-over from one billing period to the next.

How do I request suspension or deactivation?
Please send us an email at info@gtc.co.uk to request the suspension or deactivation of your device.

Do plans auto-renew each month?
Selected plan auto‐renews monthly unless user confirms plan change, suspension or deactivation request by email.

If I go over my monthly inclusive allowance, how do I pay for the charges?
Additional changes from text messages, tracking points or location points etc. will be added to your monthly bill.

Is there a fee for upgrading and downgrading plans?
You can upgrade you plans free of charge, however downgrading will incur a £25 fee.

What does a Garmin inReach rescue cost?
- Rescue costs, if any, are determined by the applicable laws and regulations for the location where the rescue is conducted and may vary based on the utilized resources. Any fees incurred due to aid or rescue when triggering an SOS are charged to the individual for whom the SOS was triggered. It’s important to check with local authorities in the area to which you plan to travel for information regarding rescue costs and services.
What does SOS coverage include?
- SOS coverage is included with an active inReach subscription and covers:
- Global emergency response coordination by the Garmin IERCC
- All communication, including tracking and text messaging with the Garmin IERCC, once the SOS button is activated by a device user
SOS coverage does not cover:
- Possible costs associated with a rescue
- Applicable fees for communicating with personal or other contacts

SAR Insurance Options
The Search and Rescue insurance plans, SAR 100 and SAR High Risk, include up to $100,000 USD in reimbursement for covered rescue costs and a $5,000 USD accidental death and dismemberment benefit. The SAR High Risk plan also includes coverage for qualified rescue expenses resulting from participation in specified activities that are not covered by the SAR 100 plan1.
