Important Notice: Use of Inmarsat Services in Thailand

Effective 30 June 2026, commercial Inmarsat services are subject to a regulatory restriction within Thailand.

Until further notice, commercial Inmarsat L-band and GX Ka-band services must not be used:

• On land within Thailand

• Within Thai territorial waters (maritime)

• In Thai airspace below 10,000 feet (aviation)

Safety services remain unaffected and continue to operate as normal.

If you are planning to travel to or operate within Thailand, please be aware that these commercial services are currently unavailable due to local regulatory requirements. We recommend contacting our team before travelling if your communications may be affected, so we can discuss suitable alternatives where available.

We will update this notice as soon as further information becomes available.

Please be advised that due to unforeseen technical difficulties, there may be severe delays to new activations and top-ups. We are working with Inmarsat to resolve this. We appreciate your patience in this matter.

Inmarsat SIM cards start with zero balance and validity. Choose the option appropriate for your needs and you can then extend at a later date if you need to. A SIM card's validity can be extended by purchasing another prepaid voucher or 30-day extension before the original expiry date.

If the validity is not extended, your SIM card will expire and become unusable. Any remaining minutes will be lost.

If you did not originally purchase your SIM card from Global Telesat Communications we will be unable to add credit to your card. However, Inmarsat SIM cards are free of charge so why not order a SIM card from us as well?

Latin America Voucher* Usage Areas

Prepaid vouchers can only be used inside the predefined countries. The LATAM prepay voucher is available in Argentina, Belize, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela. Including coastal waters (12 Nmi) and Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZ).

Sub-Saharan Voucher* Usage Areas

The prepay vouchers can only be used inside the predefined countries: The SSA prepay voucher is available in Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo Brazzaville, Cote d’Ivoire, Djibouti, DR Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, Togo, Uganda, and Zambia.
