The Garmin Montana 710i is a rugged handheld GPS designed for adventures where dependable navigation and communication matter. Its large 5-inch colour touchscreen is easy to read and glove-friendly, giving you a clear view of maps, routes and trip information whether you're hiking, overlanding, riding off-road or exploring more remote terrain.

Preloaded TopoActive maps help you understand the landscape around you, with terrain contours, elevations, coastlines, rivers, landmarks and other useful detail. You can also download high-resolution satellite imagery directly to the device over Wi-Fi for a more realistic view of routes and surrounding terrain.

Stay connected beyond mobile coverage

Built-in Garmin inReach technology gives the Montana 710i an extra layer of communication when you travel outside normal mobile coverage. With an active inReach subscription, you can send and receive two-way text messages, share your location and use interactive SOS to contact Garmin Response in an emergency.

Because inReach uses the Iridium satellite network, the Montana 710i is particularly useful for remote travel, expeditions and outdoor work where conventional cellular coverage may be limited or unavailable.

Navigate with confidence

Multi-GNSS support gives the Montana 710i access to GPS and Galileo satellite systems, helping maintain reliable positioning in more challenging environments. A built-in altimeter, barometer and three-axis electronic compass provide additional navigation and environmental information when you're away from familiar routes.

The device also works with the Garmin Explore app, making it easier to plan trips, manage waypoints and review your route information before and after an adventure.

Mapping that adapts to the journey

The Montana 710i is designed to work across a wide range of outdoor activities. Alongside its preloaded topographic mapping, additional compatible maps can be added for different types of travel, including road and marine navigation.

With 32 GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi connectivity and compatibility with Garmin Outdoor Maps+, you can expand the device with additional mapping content when your adventures demand more detail.

Rugged enough for the outdoors

The Montana 710i has been built for demanding conditions, with a rugged design tested to MIL-STD-810 standards for thermal, shock and vibration resistance. It also carries an IPX7 water rating, giving it the durability needed for wet weather, rough trails and challenging environments.

A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 24 hours of use in GPS mode, with considerably longer runtimes available in expedition mode, helping you stay navigated and connected on longer trips.
