The ACR ResQLink 400 Personal Locator Beacon is a compact, rugged emergency beacon designed to summon search and rescue assistance when you're beyond mobile coverage. With GPS & Galileo positioning, 406 MHz satellite distress signalling, 121.5 MHz homing, built-in buoyancy and visible and infrared strobes, the ResQLink 400 gives rescuers the information and signals they need to help locate you in an emergency.

When you're heading into remote terrain or out onto the water, the ACR ResQLink 400 Personal Locator Beacon provides a dedicated emergency lifeline that's small enough to take virtually anywhere.

Designed for hiking, climbing, skiing, boating, fishing, paddlesports and other outdoor adventures, the ResQLink 400 combines multiple search and rescue technologies within a compact and rugged handheld beacon.

And unlike a satellite communicator, there's no monthly or annual subscription required for its core emergency distress functionality.

One Button When It Matters Most

Deploy the ResQLink 400's antenna, press the activation button and give the beacon a clear view of the sky. Once activated, it transmits a powerful 406 MHz distress signal through the international Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue satellite system.

Integrated GPS and Galileo GNSS positioning helps determine your location, while a separate 121.5 MHz homing signal helps rescue teams pinpoint your position as they approach.

Built to Help Rescuers Find You

Integrated visible and infrared strobes provide additional signalling capabilities during nighttime and low-visibility rescue situations, while MEOSAR compatibility allows the beacon to work with the latest generation of Cospas-Sarsat search and rescue satellites.

Together, these technologies provide multiple ways to alert rescuers and help guide them towards your position.

Ready for Land or Water

Its compact, lightweight construction makes it easy to carry while hiking, climbing or exploring the backcountry, while built-in buoyancy and waterproof construction make it equally at home around boats, kayaks and other marine environments.

The supplied multi-function clip system also gives you flexible options for attaching the beacon to yourself or your equipment.

Programming & Registering Your ResQLink 400

Programming Your PLB

All PLBs supplied by GTC are programmed with the UK country code as standard and can be used worldwide.

If you require your ResQLink 400 to be programmed for registration in another country, please contact us before ordering or dispatch.

Important Safety Information

The ResQLink 400 should only be activated in situations of grave and imminent danger to life. False alerts can divert Search & Rescue resources and deliberate misuse may result in penalties.

PLBs do not operate underwater. If you intend to carry your beacon deeper than its specified waterproof rating, it must be protected in a suitable waterproof canister.

Register Your ResQLink

Your PLB should be registered after purchase. Registration links your beacon's unique HEX ID to you and your emergency contacts, giving Search & Rescue authorities important information if it is ever activated.

You'll find the 15-character HEX ID on the beacon and its packaging.

Registration is free and is a legal requirement in many countries. Always keep your registration and emergency contact information up to date.
