Programming & Re-configuration

All PLBs sold by GTC are pre-programmed with the UK country code. However, to have your PLB configured for another country, contact GTC before shipping.

Registration

Registration is legally required in most countries. Registering links your PLB’s HEX ID with your personal and emergency contact information, allowing Search and Rescue teams to verify your identity and respond faster.

Register your PLB at the Cospas-Sarsat International Beacon Registration Database or directly with the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency.

Usage & Safety Notices

This PLB should only be used in situations of grave and imminent danger to life. False alerts endanger lives and waste valuable Search & Rescue resources. PLBs will not function underwater — use an appropriate canister if submerging beyond the specified depth.
