ICOM IC-SAT100M Push-To-Talk (PTT) uses the Iridium network to provide users with coverage anywhere in the world. This two-way radio system can be used as a communication tool in remote, isolated areas where there are no mobile phones or landline network infrastructure. Even if terrestrial network infrastructure is rendered unusable by human or natural disasters, this Push-To-Talk can provide a stable backup, independent from other networks. This fixed solution is ideal for remote office or installed in vehicles or vessels.

One-to-Many Communications
Unlike satellite phones, ICOM IC-SAT100M PTT owners can start talking to all the radios in the same talkgroup instantly, with just a push of a button (PTT).
Global Coverage
The Iridium satellite network covers everywhere in the world, including both poles, and can provide wide area global communications.
Real-Time, Low-Latency Communication
Using 66 Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Iridium satellites, the IC-SAT100M provides low-latency communication, and broader, more reliable network coverage, compared to Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) satellites. In fact, the latency is so low that the delay is approx. 500 milliseconds.
1500 mW Powerful Audio
1500 mW audio delivered from the internal speaker provides loud and clear communication, even in noisy environments.
Secure Communication
The IC-SAT100M provides secure conversations with AES 256-bit encryption.
Conventional Radios and IP Phones Interconnection
With a VE-PG4 RoIP gateway, the ICOM IC-SAT100M PTT can interconnect with an IP phone, IP, LTE, IDAS digital*1 and analog transceivers.
How does it work?
Using satellite Push-To-Talk technology, users of the ICOM IC-SAT100M can communicate with any other IC-SAT100 radios, that are assigned to the same talk-group. The coverage for the talk-group must be pre-selected and coverage areas can be split into different coverage regions.
