The Certified Used Odeo MK3 LED marine flare is an alternative to traditional flares. The flare is visible up to at least 3 nautical miles away and will display at a consistent brightness for up to 6 hours.
This product has been thoroughly tested to ensure it is fully functional. Some cosmetic imperfections or minor scratches may be visible, and the packaging may have slight damage, but this does not affect performance.
You will still receive all original kit components and a 12-month warranty.

Illumination Time
Traditional flares will illuminate for around 30 seconds before extinguishing: the Odeo Flare™ illuminates for around 6 hours at full illumination. The Odeo Flare™ is totally safe when switched off, and because it uses battery power (high power Lithium or Alkaline cells), it can even be safely posted or carried in baggage on flights.
User-replaceable battery
Odeo MK3 is an electronic flare and you can easily replace the battery yourself. The flare uses either 3 x L91 Lithium batteries or 3 x AA Alkaline batteries. These batteries have the required shelf life and power capacity and will operate over an extended temperature range.
Waterproof
If used as part of a marine ditch bag it's good to know that Odeo MK3 LED marine flare is waterproof up to 50 metres for 30 minutes. It has also been tested in a pressure tank at 100 metres for one hour proving it is ideal for divers.
Regulations
The Odeo Flare™ is designed with consideration to SOLAS requirements, making it a genuine alternative to the pyrotechnic red hand held flare. The US Coast Guard is now leading the world in developing standards for electronic Visual Distress Signals (eVDS) as a replacement for the handheld pyrotechnic flare. The Odeo Flare™ also outputs an SOS signal during its flash pattern as described in Annex 4 to COLREGS, and is thus an internationally recognised distress signal.
