The Iridium GO! exec is the new and upgraded satellite WiFi hotspot from Iridium. It provides global connectivity for messaging, emailing, voice calls, and social media access in remote places beyond the reach of traditional cellular service.

The device itself is a reliable flagship product. However, due to network issues, WiFi problems, or an undetectable SIM card, a soft (reboot) or hard (factory) reset may be the last resort. Follow the steps outlined below to perform these two easy tasks.

To reboot or factory reset the GO! exec, you will need to press the reset button inside the SIM card cover. You will need a paperclip or something similar to press the button through the small hole.

Performing a Soft/Reboot Reset

  • To reboot the GO! exec, ensure the device is powered on and pressing the reset button inside the SIM cover for at least 1 second before releasing.

Performing a Hard/Factory Reset

  • For a factory reset, ensure the device is turned on, and press and hold the reset button inside the SIM cover for 15 seconds. The GO! exec will automatically shut down and then reboot.
  • You will know the hard reset is in process because the screen will show a graphic of two cogs and the words "factory reset in progress".
  • Afterwards, all Settings, Call History, ESP Configuration, Admin & Screen Lock PINs will be deleted.

Important Note: after a factory reset, you must reconfigure the SOS feature.

Erasing All Settings & Data

If a factory reset is not enough, you can also clear the entire GO! exec device by erasing its data and settings. This serves as an alternative to a factory reset and is performed through the GO! exec App.

  • Open the GO exec App and tap the Settings wheel.
  • Tap Device Settings.
  • Tap Admin Settings.
  • Scroll to the bottom and tap Erase All Settings and Data.
  • Important: Please do NOT activate storage mode after erasing all data and settings.
  • Tap Reset.
