Which is the best plan for you?

There are two pay monthly airtime options available for your Iridium GO! Wi-Fi Hotspot. Read our comparison of the Iridium GO! Standard plans and Iridium GO! Flex plans below, to determine the best option for you.

Activation Fee

The Iridium GO! Flex Plan has no activation fee. However, there is an optional $50 activation fee for a 3 month minimum term plan rather than the 12.

*Please note if you choose to pay a $50 activation fee there is a 3 month minimum term. Minimum cost will be three months' access fee + $50 activation fee.

Minimum Term

Both Iridium GO! Standard and Iridium Flex Plans have 3 months minimum term, when customers pay the $50 activation fee for the Iridium GO! Flex plan**.

All active Flex Plans require 30 days minimum before they can be suspended.

Monthly Plans

Connect your service month to month for as long as you want it. In the off-months you can disconnect your service and keep your local number for only $8/month. At any time you can reconnect your SIM for free, and we will restore your local number.

Dedicated US Number

Customers signed up to the Iridium GO! Flex Plan will be assigned a dedicated US or UK phone number and a SIM card free of charge. This results in much lower calling charges, as calls to the handset will charge at the same rate as the network rate, rather than the Satellite Phone rate.

Reactivation Fee

Customers on the Iridium GO! Standard plan have a $250 reactivation fee when their SIM card has been deactivated. If your Iridium GO! Flex Plan SIM becomes deactivated and you wish to use it again there is no reactivation fee. In fact, if you choose to use it at a later stage you will keep the same phone number and not have to pay to $250 reactivation fee - however standard contract charges do apply.

Monthly Service Allowance

The Iridium GO! Standard plans vary in terms of inclusive voice, data and SMS minutes. The monthly allowance included in the Iridium GO! Flex Plan extends beyond calls, to all services.

Tariff Details

  • Customers can only disconnect their white Pivotel SIM cards, starting 896 on Iridium GO! Flex plans. SIM cards can be ordered here >
  • Customers can disconnect their plan for up to 6 months, until their SIM has been in active status for 12 months (making it 18 months total time) if on an annual plan. The 6 months do not need to be sequential. If customer is on a rolling contract, then 6 months out of 12 can be disconnected. Disconnection requests can only be processed on the last day of the month and actioned on the 1st of the month. A full monthly charge will apply to the month in which disconnection is requested. 
  • Plan disconnection does not have to be consecutive months
  • Complete billing information must be provided before a SIM card can be activated on our Iridium GO! Flex plans
  • UK customers must complete Section B: Direct Debit Mandate in the Iridium GO! Flex contract
  • US customers must complete the Credit Card Verification link, which can also be found Section C: Billing Information in the Iridium GO! Flex contract
  • Customers outside the UK and USA must provide a refundable Security Deposit, which can be found in Section D: Billing Information.
  • Our Rest of the World customers must also read the terms and conditions before providing their Security Deposit, found in Section E: Security Deposit Terms and Conditions
