Practical Steps in Order to Put These Principles into Practice

Travel and Meetings

• Walk, cycle, and/or use public transport to attend meetings and site visits wherever practical and cost-effective.
• Include the full costs of more sustainable forms of transport in our financial proposals, rather than simply selecting the lowest-cost option.
• Avoid unnecessary travel by using teleconferencing, video conferencing, webcams, and efficient meeting scheduling where practical.
• Provide free training webinars to clients to reduce the need for travel while maintaining regular communication and support.
• Support alternative working arrangements, including home working, to reduce commuting and business travel.

Purchase of Equipment and Consumption of Resources

• Minimise the use of paper and office consumables by using double-sided printing and identifying opportunities to reduce waste.
• Reuse or recycle office waste wherever possible, including paper, computer supplies, and redundant equipment.
• Reduce energy consumption by purchasing energy-efficient office equipment and following good housekeeping practices.
• Seek to purchase electricity from suppliers committed to renewable energy and support investment in renewable energy schemes where possible.
• Purchase fair-trade and/or organic beverages where practical.

Working Practices and Advice to Clients

• Ensure that any associates we employ consider sustainability issues in the advice they provide to clients.
• Include a copy of our Sustainability Policy in all proposals to clients.
