Which is the best Iridium Plan for you?

  • Activation Fee: The Iridium Standard Plan offers the option for a 1 month minimum term, rather than 3 months when you pay a $25 activation fee. The Iridium Flex plan offers the option for a 3 month minimum term, rather than 12 months when you pay a $50 activation fee.
  • Anytime SIM Suspension: At any point during your contract you can suspend your SIM and reduce monthly payments to only $5 per month on the Iridium Flex Plan. There is no option to suspend your plan on the Standard Iridium plan.
  • Dedicated Local Number: Customers signed up to the Iridium Flex Plan will be assigned a dedicated US or UK phone number and a SIM card free of charge. This results in much lower calling charges, as calls to the handset will charge at the same rate as the network rate, rather than the Satellite Phone rate. Iridium Flex customers must select their preference to a US or UK phone number, when completing the pay monthly contract. Customers on the Standard Iridium Plan can be provided with a US number as an Add-On Service, at an additional fee.
  • Reactivation Fee: For Flex Plans only, if your SIM becomes deactivated and you wish to use it again there is no reactivation fee. In fact, if you choose to use it at a later stage you will keep the same phone number - however standard contract charges do apply. Customers on the Standard Iridium plan will be required to pay to $250 reactivation fee or order a new SIM card.
  • Monthly Service Allowance: The Standard Iridium Plan's Inclusive Mins and SMS only include voice calls or SMS messages. The monthly allowance included in the Iridium Flex Plan extends beyond calls, to all services.

Terms and Conditions for Iridium Standard Plans

  • Customers can only activate their orange Iridium SIM cards, starting 8988 on Iridium Standard plans. SIM cards can be ordered here >
  • Customers can suspend their Iridium Standard pay monthly plans, but the Monthly fee will continue to be charged.
  • Subscription fees will be pro-rated from the date of activation.  Upon deactivation, fees will be chargeable until the last day of that month regardless of deactivation date. Contracts will automatically renew each month until customer requests deactivation.
  • Calls to landlines/cell/mobile only. Unused minutes do not roll over to the next monthly period.
  • Complete billing information must be provided before a SIM card can be activated on our Iridium Standard plans
  • UK customers must complete Section B: Direct Debit Mandate in the Iridium Standard contract
  • US customers must complete the Credit Card Verification link, which can also be found Section C: Billing Information in the Iridium Standard contract
  • Customers outside the UK and USA must provide a refundable Security Deposit, which can be found in Section D: Billing Information. Our Rest of the World customers must also read the terms and conditions before providing their Security Deposit, found in Section E: Security Deposit Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions for Iridium Pooled Plans

  • Customers can only activate their orange Iridium SIM cards, starting 8988 on Iridium Standard plans. SIM cards can be ordered here >
  • All SIMs have to be activated/deactivated on the same plan and on the same date. 
  • The Activation fee (if applicable) will be charged per line activated. For example, If you activate 8 SIM cards, an Activation fee (if applicable) will be charged at $25 x 8 SIM cards.
  • The Monthly fee will apply to each SIM.  For example, customer activates 5 x SIMs on the standard pooled plan which would equate to 5 x $57  per month or $285 per month.
  • Allowance from each SIM is shared across the activated SIMs.  For example 5 x SIMs on standard pooled plan each have 10 mins/10 SMS included so  would have 50 mins/50 SMS across all.
  • Overage per minute is $1.25 to fixed and cell once pooled usage is used. 
  • Subscription fees will be pro-rated from the date of activation.  Upon deactivation, fees will be chargeable until the last day of that month regardless of deactivation date. Contracts will automatically renew each month until customer requests deactivation.

  • Same rules apply which is first month pro‐rated, final month charged in full.
  • Inclusive minutes are calculated on calls to fixed or mobile numbers. Calls to other numbers will be charged at the out of bundle rate. All prices are  subject to VAT for billing addresses within the EU. Upon activation, subscription fee and/or allowance will be pro‐rated for 1st month. Upon deactivation,  subscription fee and/or allowance are not pro‐rated. 
  • If a SIM is suspended, a subscription fee will continue to be charged. 
  • No roll‐over of unused minutes is  permitted from one billing period to the next.
  • UK customers must complete Section B: Direct Debit Mandate in the Iridium Standard contract
  • US customers must complete the Credit Card Verification link, which can also be found Section C: Billing Information in the Iridium Standard contract
  • Customers outside the UK and USA must provide a refundable Security Deposit, which can be found in Section D: Billing Information.
