Which is the best plan for you?
There are two pay monthly airtime options available for your Iridium GO! Wi-Fi Hotspot. Read our comparison of the Iridium GO! Standard plans and Iridium GO! Flex plans below, to determine the best option for you.
The Iridium GO! Standard Plan offers a 3-month minimum. The Iridium GO! Flex Plan has an optional activation fee of $50 for a 3-month minimum term plan.
*Please note if you choose to pay a $50 activation fee there is a 3-month minimum term. Minimum cost will be 3 months' access fee + $50 activation fee.
Both Standard Iridium GO! and Iridium Flex Plans have 3 months minimum term, when customers pay the $50 activation fee for the Iridium GO! Flex plan.
At any point during your Iridium GO! Flex contract you can suspend your SIM and reduce monthly payments to only $5 per month. Suspension is not an available option for customers on the Standard Iridium GO! plan.
Dedicated Local Number
Customers signed up to the Iridium GO! Flex Plan will be assigned a dedicated UK and US phone number and a SIM card free of charge. This results in much lower calling charges, as calls to the handset will charge at the same rate as the network rate, rather than the Satellite Phone rate.
Once a SIM card has been deactivated on the Standard Iridium GO! plan customers will incur a $250 reactivation fee if they wish to reactivate at a later date. If your Iridium GO! Flex Plan SIM becomes deactivated and you wish to use it again there is no reactivation fee. In fact, if you choose to use it at a later stage you will keep the same phone number and not have to pay to $250 reactivation fee - however standard contract charges do apply.
Monthly Service Allowance
The Standard Iridium GO! plans vary in terms of inclusive voice, data and SMS minutes. The monthly allowance included in the Iridium GO! Flex Plan extends beyond calls, to all services.
