Iridium 9603 Developer's Kit
The Iridium 9603 Developer's Kit is the fastest way to prototype and prove a satellite Short Burst Data (SBD) application. At its heart is the Iridium 9603, a complete single-board transceiver measuring just 31.5 x 29.6 x 8.1 mm and weighing only 11.4 g. It occupies roughly one quarter of the volume and half the footprint of its predecessor, the 9602, which makes it ideal for embedding in compact tracking devices, remote sensors and IoT hardware where space and weight are at a premium.
Because the 9603 works over the Iridium satellite constellation, it delivers genuine pole-to-pole coverage with no reliance on terrestrial cellular networks. That makes it a proven choice for asset tracking, personnel and vehicle location, environmental monitoring, telemetry and machine-to-machine communication in the most remote parts of the world, on land, at sea and in the air.
