Inmarsat-Satellite-Network-LogoIt has been announced that the latest firmware update from Inmarsat (Version 1.16) must be downloaded by the 1st June 2013 in order for certain terminals to continue working correctly.

The Thrane & Thrane FB SAILOR 150, 250, 500 and the BGAN EXPLORER 325 and 727 unit are the terminals that will be affected and it is critical that they are updated as without this firmware update they will be unable to receive calls on the IP handset.

Only the terminals listed above using the Thrane & Thrane/Cobham IP handset will be affected and terminals with a standard two wire handset will continue to work as normal.
