Delorme have recently identified a firmware issue with the satellite modem installed in inReach devices that may cause problems and prevent them from working correctly. They recommend that you install the latest inReach firmware update from DeLorme's Explore website as soon as possible in order to prevent any issues. Simply login and click on the link under "Update Available" on the right hand side of the home page and follow the simple instructions.

The upgrade is important as without it inReach devices may have difficulties connecting with the Iridium satellites and this could result in either a delay or complete failure in communication capabilities for a prolonged period of time. The problem may also cause excessive battery drain on devices.

If you have any questions or problems regarding this critical firmware upgrade, please contact DeLorme's Customer Care Team at 1-800-511-2459 (207-847-1165 outside the U.S.).
