The Equipment

DeLore inReach ExplorerWe are supporting Dave by supplying him with free airtime for his DeLorme inReach Explorer satellite tracker. The DeLorme inReach Explorer is the world's only truly global satellite communicator with built-in navigation, waypoints and routing.

The inReach Explorer capabilities include creating text messages via its virtual keyboard. Also, Tracking points sent can be viewed online! These messages enable Dave to keep everyone at home updated on his journey via his MapShare page.

Cornthwaite's Expedition1000

On Thursday 14th August, Dave left the Norwegian capital of Oslo bound for Helsinki, Finland. He will travel over 1200 miles along the Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish coastlines using a pedal kayak powered by Hobie’s innovative Mirage system, based on the propulsion of penguin flippers.

Cornthwaite is a passionate advocate of encouraging adventure as a way of developing human potential. His motto of ‘make life memorable, say yes more’ has already helped him raise over £100,000 for good causes. He hopes to raise £1 million by the end of his Expedition1000 project.
