There is a new Firmware release now available for Iridium 9555, Iridium 9575 Extreme and Iridium Push-To-Talk (PTT) Satellite Phones. From time to time it may be necessary to upgrade your phone. In fact, installing the latest firmware version can improve Satellite Phone functionality and operation. Therefore, follow the instructions below:

Upgrading Iridium Satellite Phone Firmware:

You can check the firmware version installed on your handset by:

Menu > Setup > Phone Information

To upgrade the Iridium Satellite Phone's firmware, a PC installer is required. Therefore, you must have a PC running one of the following operating systems:

• Windows 10, 8 and 7
• Windows Vista
• Windows XP

Guidance before commencing the Iridium Satellite Phone Firmware Upgrade: Please complete the following:

• Disable Bluetooth on the PC running the upgrade
• Remove the SIM card from the handset and install the handset battery
• Turn the handset on
• Ensure that the battery is fully charged or a charger is connected to the handset
